Uncle Grill House

KITCHEN TICKET | TABLE BY FIRE | +880 1713 554 880 | Banani, Dhaka

BOARD | PRICES IN BDT | FIRE TIMES ON THE TICKET

The menu is a grate, a butcher, and a short list that changes with the cooler.

Prices below are the current Banani board and may move with ageing time and catch. Your captain will confirm. Spice and doneness live on the kitchen ticket, not in a guess at the pass.

BEEF

From the dry age fridge to the hard sear.

We age in house. We will not serve a grey well-done ribeye and call it hospitality. If you want well done, we move you to a different cut and cook it with respect.

Banani ribeye, 400g | BDT 4,800

Mustard seed, bone marrow butter, grilled onion. The house cut.

Picanha on the chain | BDT 4,200

Fat cap rendered slow, then kissed on hard coal. Chimichurri with local coriander.

Bone-in striploin | BDT 6,400

Pepper crust, bone broth jus, fried garlic. For two if you are polite.

Uncle’s smashed burger | BDT 1,450

Only at lunch. Aged trim, bone marrow, pickles, milk bun. One per guest. This is not a secret, it is a rule.

Ribeye on the grill
Lamb chops

LAMB AND BIRD

Hill lamb, yard chicken, and the seekh that started the yard.

Lamb comes from trusted hill suppliers. Chicken is brined, then grilled so the skin blisters. Seekh is minced to order.

Hill lamb chops | BDT 3,600

Smoked chili oil, mint stalk, charred lemon. Three to a plate.

Uncle’s seekh | BDT 1,850

Rib and tail fat, roasted cumin, green chili. Onion and cold lager recommended.

Whole yard chicken | BDT 2,400

Forty minute wait. Lemon, garlic, crushed coriander seed. For the table, not for a hurried lunch.

Lamb ribs, sticky chili | BDT 2,900

Overnight cure, coconut shell finish. Napkins are not optional.

BAY

Fish and prawns that arrived before the heat.

If the cooler is late, the board changes. We would rather send you the ribeye than a tired pomfret.

Whole grilled pomfret | BDT 2,750

Mustard oil, green chili, onion. Deboned at the table if you ask.

Bay prawns on iron | BDT 3,200

Head-on, garlic butter, mustard greens. Iron stays on the table.

Coriander fish tikka | BDT 2,150

Firm white fish, hung yoghurt, charcoal. Mild unless you ask otherwise.

SIDES AND SWEET

The plates that make the meat make sense.

Order more bread than you think. The marrow wants it.

Smoked dal tadka | BDT 480

Slow dal, ghee, dried chili. Vegetarian and proud.

Coal potatoes | BDT 520

Duck fat if you want it, rosemary salt, crispy edges.

Grilled mustard greens | BDT 460

Char, lemon, fried garlic.

House naan and butter | BDT 220

From the tandoor beside the pit. Comes fast. Order two.

Mishti and burnt cream | BDT 690

Caramelised milk, sea salt, grilled pineapple.

Chocolate and chili oil | BDT 740

Dark ganache, smoked chili, crème fraîche.

GLASS

Short list. Built for fat, chili, and Dhaka nights.

We are not a cocktail circus. We are a grill house with a serious red, a cold lager, and a highball that tastes like citrus and smoke.

Craft lager, local | BDT 650

Cuts seekh fat. Served colder than the room.

House red, marrow-proof | from BDT 1,200

Ask the captain for the current bottle. Decanted if it needs it.

Sylhet citrus highball | BDT 780

Local citrus, soda, a hint of smoked tea.

No-alcohol smoke tea | BDT 420

Lapsang-style brew, honey, orange peel. For the driver.

Wine and bar

How to order like a regular.

Share the chops. Keep the ribeye to yourself if it is 400g. Tell us allergies before the ticket is printed. Doneness is a conversation, not a test. If you are celebrating, say so. We will print the name on the menu, not on a chocolate plate that nobody asked for.

Lunch is faster. Dinner is the pit at full voice. Last seating is 22:00 so the grate is still honest.
